Globalisation is a process which is turning the whole world into a global community. It makes the boundaries and borders useless as one can easily travel from one country to the other. In a world where international corporations build factories in Asia to sell their products in Europe or North America cultural or national identity no longer matters.
The best example of losing national identity in the process of globalisation is China. Young people of china decide to study abroad mostly in the United States and Europe. There they are poisoned by the western civilisation and loose their roots. The western civilisation, or more its achievements in the last 50 years, brought an economic boom to the Middle Country, but also caused its people to slowly loose their national identity.
This is why I think that in the process of globalisation we should always remember about our roots but shouldnt block this process as it has also good sides.
It is said that people in the Third World countries are exploited to the limits for low pay by the international companies. But we forget about one thing in those states the value of money is much different from the one in the western states. Poland is not a Third World state although some Germans could say so judging from our salaries.
